She Said Yes!

...of course she said Yes!
Brock wouldn't have hired a photographer to capture the moments leading up to the surprise marriage proposal to his now fiance Lindsey, if he didnt think she would say yes.
Brock had the details all worked out including a surprise party with all of their closest friends following a romantic dinner at La Masia Restaurant in Surrey, BC where he would be popping the question.
He made sure she looked and felt beautiful for the big moment. He took her shopping for a new dress, surprised her at dinner with a bouquet of red roses and...
...little did she know what was inside his pocket (bling bling!) and hiding behind a glass case (me!).
Even though Brock was quite nervous - Lindsey was still very surprised. The proposal was beautiful. All of his hard work and planning had payed off. I even found myself getting teary eyed.As well we spent a few minutes before I left taking some posed shots on the balcony. They were so happy. She was still very shocked. It was great!
It was still a very private moment even though it was in a public place and subtly documented by me and now it will be a breeze for Brock and Lindsey to relive the proposal and maybe share it with their grandchildren one day.I felt honoured to be a part of something so important to their lives.
Congratulations to you both!

My father who is a very busy man took a little time (not sure if he knew he had a choice) to spend a little time with his daughter and granddaughter one morning.
It wasn't an extraordinary event but it was a memorable moment. Time is such a great gift!
Tea Party

My daughter and I love walking through downtown Chilliwack - especially down the historical Main Street. Walking home from preschool we decided to pop inside Appledoorn Fine Baking for a tea party.
She loves to have tea parties at home so I thought I would take it one step further. She had a hot chocolate and I had an English Breakfast tea. She filled up my cup with milk and sugar and enjoyed using her straw and spoon thoroughly.
What an adorable place. Your tea comes in real tea cups and pots. No tea cup is the same! I highly recommend having a little spot of tea on Main street - especially in such good company!
She didn't break anything, so that was a plus too!

Music to my Ears
Music is a big part of my life as well as the lives of my children. It has the ability to transform my mood, inspire my soul, and helps me get through plenty of long drives and scrubbing of toilets.
I dont clean without music. I dont drive my kids to school without music. I dont cook without music. I firmly believe in the benefits of living your life with a soundtrack playing in the background. Last night we had tacos and my kids and I ate happily with our hips wiggling away to Latin music.

Howard Lee Naylor is a talented Singer Song-writer and Performer living in Abbotsford. He is engaged to a lovely woman named Diane. I will be shooting their wedding this summer in rural Abbotsford.
Howards love for creating and performing music will be incorporated into their wedding day and I am sure it will create an even more memorable day for both Diane and their guests. In fact it sounds like the event will be a very fun and enjoyable day for all. I am looking forward to being a part of it.
Howard has spent over 12 years learning his craft while living in Los Angeles and Nashville and now he is working on the completion of a new album. The title in progress is called, "Somehow I Grew." I did a shoot with Howard in Chilliwack recently. The shots will be used in his promotional tools that will accompany the new album. Keep an ear open for upcoming local performances by Howard Lee Naylor.
