Redwood Park In the Fall

I love going to walks in the Fall. Especially when the sun is shining - I cant think of anything better to do on a Fall day. The change of seasons always reminds me of how lucky we all are to live in such a beautiful place. We really get to experience all the seasons in BC.

Redwood park is a gem of a park hidden away in Surrey (near the Langley Border).  Great for walks and they also have an amazing playground for the kids.

Redwood Park is named after its large population of giant Redwood trees. It is considered a significant park  and a Natural Heritage Site because it has over 32 unique species of trees originating from all over the world. Be sure to check it out!

This is Addison my Niece. She just turned 3 this October. She is the most beautiful little girl.

She didnt love the camera - which is quite typical for her age. So I turned it into a game... seeing if I could "catch" her with my camera. This worked really well - she squealed when she saw that I had GOT her!

Here is my daughter Morgan wearing my hat. She loves to pose for mommy. Lucky me!

Pablo is Addison's favorite friend. She did not go very far without him. Luckily he is photogenic too.

My son Benjamin who is so good at helping with little people. He makes me so proud.

Memorable Moments

My father who is a very busy man took a little time (not sure if he knew he had a choice) to spend a little time with his daughter and granddaughter one morning.

It wasn't an extraordinary event but it was a memorable moment. Time is such a great gift!

Tea Party

My daughter and I love walking through downtown Chilliwack - especially down the historical Main Street. Walking home from preschool we decided to pop inside Appledoorn Fine Baking for a tea party.

She loves to have tea parties at home so I thought I would take it one step further. She had a hot chocolate and I had an English Breakfast tea. She filled up my cup with milk and sugar and enjoyed using her straw and spoon thoroughly.

What an adorable place. Your tea comes in real tea cups and pots. No tea cup is the same! I highly recommend having a little spot of tea on Main street - especially in such good company!

She didn't break anything, so that was a plus too!

Such Little Ladies

Anne told me about an idea she had for a shoot with her girls. She was inspired by an advertisement in a parenting magazine and had cut it out a while ago. She described it to me and I tried my best to make it work for her and the girls.

She had a vision and I think that is why her and the girls made this shoot so easy to pull off. She found the perfect location, had multipleoutfits and brought along some great props. Not to mention she has the cutest little girls ever! And so well behaved! It couldn't have gone any better.

Thanks Anne!

Capturing Cohen

We all know young children move so quickly as it is…and when you add a camera and someone who desperately wants their attention it becomes a really fun game for a child.

Little Cohen had such a great mischievous smile and to capture it in a great photo was my objective.

Although young children may not sit still, pose or want to please the photographer, when they do smile it won’t be forced – it will be the real deal. The trick is then to be ready when it happens and quick enough to capture it!

Thanks to mom who is willing to get her hands dirty - little Cohen has no problems giving me that mischievous little smile.
