Christmas with the Carne Family

When shooting the Carne family, I literally had to count to see if I had everyone in the shot! I think if I were a parent to five girls I would be missing at least one kid at all times.

I would be constantly reliving the KEVINNNNNNNNNN !!!!!!!! moment from Home Alone. If not in real life, then definately in my dreams.

They really are a beautiful family. There is a lot of love to be shared and a lot of fun to be had when they are all together. Christina had the brilliant idea of shooting at Ryder Lake.

Chilliwack had gotten a little bit of snow but it was melting away. Ryder Lake is only a 5 min drive and they have piles of snow. We found a great snow filled property, with kind and welcoming owners and a funky looking treehouse and started shooting.

We barely lasted half an hour. It was really quite cold; especially when the kids started playing in the snow.

Merry Christmas Carne Family !

The Henderson Family 2011

I am so honored to be chosen by the Henderson Family once again to do their family portraits. Their family has now grown to include a beautiful baby girl. It is an honor to be able to document the growth of your family. Even with the hiccups that come with shooting an almost two year old and a 7 week old baby. The outcome was still great photos and with the bonus of a great story too! Have a great Christmas guys!

Michelle's Portrait

Michelle needed some professional head shots for her job. But we didn't stop there.
Who gets all dressed up for that!! Michelle came equipped with a great selection of clothing, accessories and shoes! Lots of shoes!

She was lots of fun and part of the reason her shoot was such a success was because she was actually having fun. When being photographed, it is so important to forget any insecurities, relax and just have fun. That is always when we look our best.

It is amazing how a scarf or a soft coat can change a photo so drastically. Most people are aware of colors having a large impact in portrait photography but I think people generally underestimate texture. This is especially with close ups.

Normally there are photos I prefer in B&W but with Michelle I just couldn't dare part with those gorgeous blue eyes! They just pop with this gorgeous blue jacket on.

Thanks Michelle! You were loads of fun to work with!
